The Effect of Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health Education and Training on Employee Performance with Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department of Southeast Minahasa Regency Government

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the effect of the implementation of occupational safety and health education and training on employee performance with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of the Southeast Minahasa Regency Government. The research method used is a quantitative approach with path analysis. The population in this study were all employees of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department of the Southeast Minahasa Regency Government, totaling 68 people. The sampling technique uses the census method, so that the entire population is sampled. The results of the research show that: 1) Implementation of occupational safety and health education and training has a significant effect on employee job satisfaction, 2) Implementation of occupational safety and health education and training has a significant effect on employee performance, 3) Job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance, and 4) Job satisfaction mediates the effect of implementing occupational safety and health education and training on employee performance.

The implication of this research is the need to increase the implementation of occupational safety and health education and training in order to increase employee satisfaction and performance in the Public Works and Spatial Planning Service of the Southeast Minahasa Regency Government.
