THE EFFECT OF WORK DISCIPLINE AND COMPENSATION ON PERFORMANCE THROUGH WORK MOTIVATION OF EMPLOYEES AT THE JUANDA CUSTOMS AND CUSTOMS SERVICES AND SUPERVISION OFFICE

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of work discipline and compensation on performance through work motivation of employees at the Juanda CUSTOMS and Customs Service Office. The sampling technique used in this study was census sampling, meaning that 128 respondents were sampled from the entire population. The analysis technique used was path analysis using SEM AMOS.

The results showed that work discipline had a positive and significant effect on performance, with a CR value of 2.755 and a probability value of 0.0021  0.05. Compensation has a positive and significant effect with a CR value of 2.108 and a probability value of 0.0026  0.05 on Performance. Work Motivation has a positive and significant effect with a CR value of 4.213 and a probability value of 0.000  0.05 on Performance. Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect with a CR value of 5.223 and a probability value of 0.000  0.05 on Work Motivation. Compensation has a positive and insignificant effect with a CR value of 9.444 and a probability value of 0.000  0.05 on Work Loyalty. Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect with a Sobel Test value of 3.394 and a probability value of 0.000  0.05 on Performance through Work Motivation at the Juanda Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office. Compensation has a positive and significant effect, with a Sobel test value of 4.035 and a probability value of 0.000  0.05, on performance through work motivation at the Juanda Customs and Excise Supervision and Service Office
