The Influence of Compensation and Work Environment on Employee Work Motivation with Job Satisfaction as an Intervening Variable in the Department of Empowerment and Child Protection in the Women’s and Child Protection Sector, Southeast Minahasa Regency

Abstract
Work motivation is one of the important factors that influences employee work. High work motivation will encourage employees to work more actively and productively. Motivated employees will try hard to complete their work well and on time. This will have an impact on increasing employee work results. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of compensation and work environment on employee work motivation with job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The type of research is quantitative research. The research population was employees of the Southeast Minahasa Regency Child Empowerment and Protection Service, totaling 30 employees. Data was obtained from the results of distributing questionnaires. Data analysis techniques use regression, t test, and Sobel test. Based on the results of the t test regression, it shows that compensation and work environment influence job satisfaction and compensation, work environment and job satisfaction influence work motivation. Based on the Sobel test, it shows that compensation and work environment influence work motivation through employee job satisfaction.
