THE IMPACT OF COMPETENCE AND ORGANIZATIONAL CULTURE ON EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE WITH ORGANIZATIONAL COMMITMENT AS AN INTERVENING VARIABLE

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of competence and organizational culture on employee performance with organizational commitment as an intervening variable in employees of the Public Housing and Settlement Areas Office of Southeast Minahasa Regency. The object of this research is all employees of the Public Housing and Settlement Areas Office of Southeast Minahasa Regency totaling 31 people. The research sample was determined using the Slovin formula so that 31 respondents were obtained. The analysis method used is path analysis to determine the direct and indirect effects of independent variables on the dependent variable. The results showed that competence has a direct and significant effect on employee performance, competence has an indirect and significant effect on employee performance through organizational commitment, organizational culture has a direct and significant effect on employee performance, organizational culture has an indirect and significant effect on employee performance through organizational commitment, and organizational commitment has a direct and significant effect on employee performance. The conclusion of this study is that increasing competence, strengthening organizational culture, and increasing organizational commitment can improve employee performance at the Public Housing and Settlement Areas Office of Southeast Minahasa Regency.
