Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the influence of personal factors, work engagement, work balance and personal life on employee retention in Government Agencies of Dawarblandong District, Mojokerto Regency. Employee retention is an important issue in the context of human resource management in the public sector to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of public services. This study used a quantitative approach with survey techniques as a data collection method. The main respondents were employees who worked in Dawarblandong sub-district government agencies. The research instrument was in the form of a questionnaire developed based on theory and related research. The independent variables in this study were personal factors (such as motivation, values, and individual characteristics), work engagement (level of commitment and job satisfaction), and work-life balance. The dependent variable is employee retention, which is measured based on the level of intention to stay and the factors that affect the desire to stay at the agency. Data analysis was carried out using statistical regression techniques to test the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The findings of this study are expected to provide useful insights for government agency management in improving employee retention strategies. The practical implications include the development of policies that support employee welfare and satisfaction, as well as increased efficiency in human resource management.
