The Influence of Transformational Leadership Style, Competence and Work Environment on Employee Performance in Government Organization

Abstract
This study aimed to analyze the influence of transformational leadership style, competence, and work environment on employee performance in the Mojokerto City government environment. The research method used is a survey with a quantitative approach, involving a sample of employees from various work units in the city government. Data was collected through questionnaires designed to measure employees’ perceptions of transformational leadership styles, competency levels, work environment conditions, and their performance. The results showed that transformational leadership style has a significant positive effect on employee performance, which indicates that inspirational and visionary leadership can increase employee motivation and productivity. Employee competence is also proven to have a positive influence on performance, showing the importance of adequate skills and knowledge in achieving optimal work results. In addition, a conducive work environment contributes positively to employee performance, emphasizing that supportive work facilities and atmosphere are essential to improve work effectiveness. Overall, the findings of this study emphasize the importance of a combination of good leadership style, competency development, and the provision of a supportive work environment as the main factors affecting employee performance in the Mojokerto City government. This research provides implications for policymakers and managers in the public sector to focus on these aspects in an effort to improve employee performance and organizational effectiveness.
