THE INFLUENCE OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND COMPETENCE ON WORK EFFECTIVENESS AT PT BANK MANDIRI PERSERO (TBK) KUDUS

Abstract
Purpose The development of information technology in management systems has also influenced the implementation of MIS in banking operations, including PT Bank Mandiri Persero (Tbk) Kudus, to improve effectiveness and optimize service. The author addresses the important theme of analyzing the influence of management information systems and competencies that directly impact service, data accuracy, precision, speed, and security of banking data. Methods The author conducted quantitative research analyzing primary data using multiple regression methods, with the variables of management information systems (X1), competence (X2), and work effectiveness (Y). The primary data were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 43 employees of PT Bank Mandiri Persero (Tbk) Kudus. This number represents the entire population of respondents, based on the saturated sampling method or total sampling. Results Based on the interpretation of regression analysis in the context of PT Bank Mandiri Persero (Tbk) Kudus, it can be proven that the management information system and competency are separate factors capable of influencing changes in work effectiveness in the banking business. However, the influence on changes in work effectiveness can increase by 53.7% if the management information system and competency are collaborated together in the operational implementation of routine banking activities. Implications PT Bank Mandiri Persero (Tbk) Kudus maximizes the development of management information systems and employee competencies to face the challenges of market changes and improve services as a competitive advantage in the banking business.
