Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of competency and employee placement on employee performance at the regional office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of West Sumatra. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a sample size of 87 respondents. The results of the quantitative analysis indicate that the Competence variable influences Employee Performance at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of West Sumatra by 58.7%. The second test, the Employee Placement variable, influences Employee Performance at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of West Sumatra by 39.3%. The test of the third hypothesis shows that Competence and Employee Placement simultaneously influence Employee Performance at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise of West Sumatra by 44.2%.
